Las Vegas is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the US, if not the world. In fact, a large percentage of the world's biggest and most luxurious hotels are in Las Vegas. Because of all the variety and competition for tourist dollars, and particularly casino dollars, Las Vegas is known as a place where you can get some incredible bargains.
For instance, there's the Lady Luck beer and hot dog for $.99, or the Golden Gate Shrimp Cocktail for $1.99. These kinds of deals are just a minute example of the interesting and various bargains that have existed in Vegas for many decades. There are also lots of bargains to be had at the hotels, especially if you are going to be gambling there. Room rates can be ridiculously cheap when casinos want to get you into their place to spend your gambling dollars.
On the other side of the coin, Vegas offers some of the most grandiose and opulent places to stay that you can possibly imagine, such as the Bellagio and the Wynn hotel, as well as many others along the strip. Some people are coming to Las Vegas to spend lots of money and really live it up. Knowing where the best places are to pamper yourself is also very helpful. The point is, before you go to Las Vegas, even if you've been there a few times already, you should read up on what is happening around town as well as who is offering the best deals and amenities at what prices.
